Austin – South Congress Avenue

I was able to visit the famed food trucks of S. Congress a week before their forced departure. Their success was ultimately their downfall — the street became such a popular spot, the lot the trucks had been squatting on was bought to put up a boutique hotel.

I went for Thai food, and although $13 is really more than I want to pay for something out of a truck, it was passable for real food. As with anything, it’s really more about the atmosphere anyway.
